Welcome to Floreis Marketing
The name Floreis is based on the latin root “florere” (to flourish). I combined this with the spanish suffix for vosotros (the informal, plural form of you). Essentially, the title is meant to say “y’all will flourish”. And my goal is to help creative entrepreneurs (that’s you) do just that: flourish and grow.
Why I Started Floreis Marketing (And Why I'm Here for You)
Hi, I'm Tonya. If you just watched my video, you know a bit about me already. But I wanted to take a moment to write out why I started Floreis Marketing and what I'm really hoping to do here.
For the past few years, I've been working with artists at a fine art reproduction company. My job involves helping them fulfill orders, get their work printed, and manage their inventory. It's work I genuinely love because I get to be around creative people doing incredible things every single day.
But here's what kept happening: almost every artist I worked with would eventually ask me marketing questions. They'd want to know if we offered marketing services, what resources I'd recommend, or where they should even start. They'd tell me they felt overwhelmed trying to figure out Instagram while also running their entire business. They'd admit they felt like they were "bad at marketing" and weren't sure which advice to follow.
I heard the same frustrations over and over. And I got it. These are people who went into art or design or making things because they love creating. They didn't sign up to become marketing experts. But somewhere along the way, they realized that creating beautiful work isn't enough if no one knows it exists.
That's where Floreis Marketing comes in.
What This Blog Is (And What It Isn't)
Here's what you won't find here: pressure to "beat the algorithm," complicated marketing funnels that take weeks to set up, or advice that makes you feel guilty for not posting three times a day.
What you will find: simple strategies you can actually use, explanations that don't assume you already know all the marketing terminology (and I'll always break down any jargon I do use), and realistic approaches that respect the fact that you have a million other things to do.
I'm not trying to turn you into a marketer. I'm trying to give you just enough knowledge and just the right tools so marketing doesn't feel like this impossible mountain you have to climb.
My Approach
I believe marketing should feel manageable, not overwhelming. I believe you can grow your business without burning out. And I believe that consistency beats virality every single time.
So when I write about content planning, I'm going to show you how to batch your content so you're not scrambling every day. When I talk about social media, I'm going to focus on what actually works for small creative businesses, not what works for influencers with teams of people. And when I share marketing strategies, they're going to be things you can implement in 30 minutes or less.
What's Coming
Every week, I'll be sharing posts about content planning, branding, marketing basics, and how to show up online without it taking over your life. Some posts will be lists of quick ideas you can steal. Others will dig into why certain marketing advice doesn't work for creatives and what to do instead. And sometimes, I'll just share what I've learned from working with artists and watching what actually helps them grow.
If there's a specific topic you want me to cover or a marketing question that's been keeping you up at night, drop it in the comments. I read every single one, and your questions help me create content that's actually useful for you.
Thanks for being here. I'm really glad you found this little corner of the internet, and I'm excited to help you flourish.
Let's connect: Follow me on Instagram @floreismarketing to get bite-sized marketing tips throughout the week. And if this resonated with you, I'd love if you shared it with another creative who might need to hear it.
